Rutland EL9073 SF-2 LB White, also known as Street Fighter 2 Low Bleed White, is a versatile standard-cure plastisol white designed as a dependable everyday ink for textile screen printing. Its combination of excellent opacity, coverage, brightness, and bleed resistance makes it particularly well suited for polyester/cotton blends.
The ink features a short, creamy body that provides smooth printability and strong coverage. Its low-tack characteristics allow it to perform through a broad range of mesh counts while producing a contemporary satin finish.
SF-2 LB White provides excellent opacity with quick flash characteristics and low hot tack, making it useful as either an underbase or stand-alone white. The tack-free formulation allows printers to use finer mesh counts for a softer hand while maintaining good opacity.

- Print SF-2 LB White straight from the container whenever possible.
- Print through approximately 86–230 threads per inch without modifying the ink's viscosity.
- Use finer mesh counts when a softer hand and good opacity are desired.
- Use a 70–80 durometer sharp squeegee as a recommended starting point.
- Maintain approximately a 45° squeegee angle to the screen mesh.
- Flash to approximately 150°F (67°C).
- Low hot tack helps support efficient multi-color production without requiring a dedicated cool-down station.
- When printing fabrics susceptible to dye migration, avoid excessive heat during flashing and curing.
- Poorly dyed polyester or excessive curing temperatures can overcome the ink's low-bleed properties.
- Cure the complete ink deposit to approximately 320°F (160°C).
- Always test the specific garment and complete printing process before beginning a full production run.

Rutland EL9073 SF-2 LB White is recommended for polyester/cotton blends. The technical data sheet specifically advises that this low-bleed ink should not be printed on 100% cotton, as a ghost image may appear when low-bleed inks are used on 100% cotton.
Poorly dyed polyester or excessive heat during curing can overcome the ability of low-bleed ink to control dye migration. For severe migration applications, use an appropriate barrier underbase.
The complete ink deposit should reach approximately 320°F (160°C) for proper fusion. Verify actual curing conditions under production conditions rather than relying solely on the dryer's temperature setting.
Always test the complete ink and garment combination for opacity, bleed resistance, adhesion, cure, wash durability, and dye migration before beginning production.
